Who owes, and how much.
Every udhaar customer has a khata. The counter finds it by khata number, phone or name, whichever the customer gives. When money comes back, press received: the balance drops, and once it reaches zero the reminders stop.

Two halves make one full.
Hotels sell salan in half and full plates. On the counter, one tap on Daal Mash adds a Half. A second tap turns it into one Full at the full price. Nobody counts, nobody adds.
Reminders go out on their own.
At launch, customers with udhaar get a polite reminder by WhatsApp or SMS, naming the hotel and the exact balance. The owner gets the day’s hisaab by SMS every night. Nobody at the counter has to ask for money.

What is AI Hotel Khata?
A sale counter and udhaar book made only for hotels, dhabas and restaurants in Pakistan. It records cash (nakad) and credit (udhaar) sales, keeps a khata for every credit customer, and shows the owner the day’s totals.
What do nakad and udhaar mean?
Nakad is a cash sale, paid on the spot. Udhaar is food given on credit, written on the customer’s khata and paid later. Wasooli is udhaar money that comes back.
Can a counter helper who does not read use it?
That is who the counter is designed for. Dish plates, colour and big numbers carry the screen: green always means nakad and saffron always means udhaar.
Does it work without internet?
It is being built offline first, so a weak signal never stops a sale. The current prototype keeps its data on the phone only.
Will it send WhatsApp and SMS reminders?
Yes, at launch. Polite reminders go to customers with udhaar and stop when the balance is cleared, and the owner gets a daily hisaab by SMS. These are planned and are not sending yet.
Does it print bills?
The Android app is planned to print 58 mm bills on a Bluetooth thermal printer, bought by the hotel.
Where is the AI?
AI-written reminders and AI summaries of the day are the next step. No AI feature is live yet, and the page will say so until one is.
How much does it cost?
The proposed launch price is PKR 3,000 a month per hotel. The SMS and WhatsApp allowance inside that price is confirmed before launch.
